For those of you waiting on a report of my court date here is the update.
Disappointment....I watched in the court room as the lawyer that was chosen to defend these men against the CIA, FBI, and Ashcroft by claiming 4th Amendment rights. These men were not even American Citizens thus the Constitution does not apply. They were here illegally and with false papers. However, this does not mean they do not deserve the rights of humanity or civility.
They were kept awake with lights on 24/7, the guards harassed them, they were denied their correct diet, and the list goes on and on.
The lawyer was like a paralegal and this was a Federal Court. I felt I was watching the romper room Court house.
The judges were amazing in the way they handled things, fair and just. There were 3 of them. I was so hurt with what I saw, knowing that this lawyer just signed these mens death warrants.
Yet today, my faith kicked back in. Cuba wants to shut it down. Find my Go Cuba Go for the link.
I am so happy that I am crying that at least someone, even if we can't here in America, can do something.
I do not stand for terrorism in anyway, shape, or form. However I know personally there are men there that are not guilty.
I don't discuss my personal life a lot on the internet, but in this case it is necessary. I have 3 friends in GitMo, I know for a fact they are not Terrorist. They were locked up for other reasons, I don't think they even know why.
See this fight I fight is personal. It is for those who are innocent and need to go home to their families.
Even though the win was not in court, it came from an unexpected place, I can now say, I see a light for these men that have experienced horrors no one should know.
I am going to be doing a story on the lawyer that was defending them don't worry. It will be with only the facts for my personal beliefs can not play.
However it is my personal beliefs that drive me to continue to fight for the good fight. Speak for those who can't, and bring Freedom to those who deserve it.

I thought that I would have a look at some of your other discussion. You should be very proud of yourself for sticking by your friends. We all need the love and support of our friends, never more so than when we are in trouble. I am reminded of Aristotle who said: "Misfortune shows those who are not really friends". Whatever the outcome of this case, you will know that you have been a true friend, and none of us can ask for more.

Thank you so much. I am proud of taking a stand upon this issue. I stand up on a lot of issues and I have just been waiting for that knock on the door because someone woke lil bush when he was with congi saying I wrote something he should see. hehe
I did not vote for the man but I did vote.
Thank you for your support.
