What's your perception of people whose always wearing black?

I have worn mostly black for years and never thought about what people thought about it. I've also known a lot of people who wear black just because they like it. Since it's a color just like any other color I don't see why it can't be someones favorite.

Black has to be the best colour and if i dont wear black,i wear a solid colour-no stripes and definately not spots-yuck!If i'm feeling particularly feminine,i might wear something floral but not bright.99% of my shoes are black too as they go with everything..i think those who are so coordinated that they have for eg a green skirt and matching shoes just weird! I once went through stages when i was younger of wearing 'hippy' kind of clothes and it was mainly black and purple..maybe that made me a goth hippy or even a witch in other peoples opinion..so funny.Basically it's about being comfortable.

black can really make us look slimmer. but i've never wear black because of that reason. i usually wear black during the cold season because the color is warmer and can lessen the cold. regarding my perception on people who loves to wear black all the time, i tend to think that they like alternative to rock music and also they like goth. ^__^;; and then, i also tend to think that black is cool, stylish and sexy because it kind of stands out but blends anywhere depending on the situation. ^__^

Black is the easiest and most common color in clothing. You can't go wrong when you mix and match your black clothes! And its not about being sad, being goth, being emo, being a rocker, etc. It is a slimming color and it is also a color most professionals choose for suits and business atire. So ignore the nay-sayers and wear your black clothes.

Kate, I also like black because it is slimming and very easy to dress it up. Add silver jewelry or rhinestones and you are ready. Also a lot of clothes only come in black and a lot of the cute styles of course. And it goes with blue jeans so well. :) So who cares what they say, besides you can see spills on black too. B

I often perceive people on the color of clothes they wear. There are many people get to hook to black of different walks of life. Business people prefer to have black suits. Emo and rocker wants also to own that color. Conservative people anchored it to devil or something treacherous. Satanism and anti - Christ use also black as their shade. But non - sense other are just wearing black for nothing and have no meaning at all. Nowadays of this information age no one owns any other thing in this world. Black can be dirty, bold, and lucky. Sad, happy or what else it should be.. Therefore for me, black is fashionable as a person project it to be and carry the way it should be. There are some trying hard "rocker/emo" wanna be also look dirty on their get up! It is more hottie color of our time, like any other color black for me is fashionable.

First of all, I try to avoid making judgements about people based on how they dress, and how they look in general. And I dress however I feel comfortable and I wear what looks good on me, whether it's black, red, purple, or whatever. Here in NYC we wear a lot of black. And, when I want to look thin, black is the right color for me. I think everybody should dress the way he/she feels comfortable and appropriately for the weather or the setting you are in. And set your own style; if something looks ridiculous, don't wear it just because it is "in style".

I think black is indeed fashionable! It's an elegant color and you can match black with anything! However, sad to say that I don’t own many black clothes- mostly because I don’t look good in black. Dark colors don’t seem to suite me somehow.

We have some neighbors who habitually dress completely in Black. We wonder about their philosphy of life? Could you be Happy, healthy and be enjoying life, and be dressed in Somber Black? I love the lighter colors! If God had intended us to dress in Black, He would have made the Rainbow 7 shades of Black!

Don't listen to negative minded people!Fashion experts have for years advocated black. Why? because it compliments practically everything else you may elect to wear. Example: Black slacks work with casual tops..from "wife-beater" slingshots, Tee-shirts, bikini tops etc.. to more dressy formal attire...white blouses, pastels, patterns etc. Black is not "Emo" or "Rocker" or any other such nonsense, and yes it does have a slimming effect. Of course it is easier to maintain than snow white slacks etc...one spill and those are ruined!I happen to like black, but hey, I'm a dude, and a biker, so I probably am a bit biased as my leathers are black, as is my vest, as are most (not all) of my tee-shirts, except for the HD logos, etc. But, for pants, unless I'm trying to look "nice" I wear levis...blue ones...not black ones. but I can accessorize with a nicely coloured bandana so what the heck. Wear what makes you feel comfortable, and what compliments your features, and your lifestyle. People are all too ready to be critical of others...frequently out of jealousy. I bet the person who criticized you was either carrying a few extra lbs on her booty...or down right "big",,,and just sniped at you because of his/her own liack of self-esteem. Be you! f*ck 'em if they dont like it!

I really love to wear black but due to somany reasons I am not able to get dresses in black. But given a choice, my first choice of colour will be black. I feel it gives you a majestic look.

in my opinion, white and black are the most classical colors, which are never out.i admit that this color makes us look slimmer, while my advice on you is to change other colors. just have a try, maybe u'll love the diversity.

don't worry, please keep become your self. Yes, in the world rules, black means sad fashion, but if you see, some fashion show event, the fashion is using unique, and some of them "funny" models..and this fashion price is very expensive... Other people may say something regarding your fashion, but that is only "feedback" to you, the final decicion at you, you don't have to change your self because other people "feddback" Regards, Denny

I think black's sweet, I wear it almost all the time. (Unless I run out of black clothes and I have to wear brown or something.) I have a question for you. Why would it be weird to wear black?

I try not to judge people by the color of their clothing. YOu are right that many associate all black clothing with certain stereotypes. I know that a lot of people associate all black clothing with 'witchcraft' or 'rock-music-loving hippies'. I think that it is sad to have this type of stereotype about people. I have 2 pair of black slacks and 2 black skirts! My reason for 4 black 'wardrobe basics' is that black is supposedly slimming and that anything matches black! I can grab virtually any of my shirts or sweaters and be ready to go!

For me black it's some thing fashionable. Some times it's very styly/ Color doesn't mean to much/ The thing it self must be good/

I like wearing black. If it is slacks or jeans, it goes with almost any color top I wear. It doesn't mean I am depressed, dirty, a Goth or anything really. I just like it! PEACE

My favourite colour is black. It's really comfortable to me. We cant judge people by their clothes. I think black is the best colour.

Black is the all classic, slimming, casual yet dressy colour. I love black, it goes with everything :)
