Reading, how I've missed it!

For the past few months, I have not been able to actually sit down and read a nice, long good book. I haven't even bought or recieved a new book to read either in that time. The other day though, I caved. I ought two new books of two series that I've wanted to read. Both series are by Mercedes Lackey, a favorite author of mine. Reserved for the Cat is one I'm reading right now. It's part of the Elemental Masters Novels. The other is Aerie. That one is part of The Dragon Jousters. I was so happy to have gotten them when I did. I missed reading so much. Anyway, my point would be, how long have you gone without reading and/or a new book? Have you caved lately and bought a new book(s)?

I know how that is. Sometimes though you just need to buy a couple books to get you reading normally again.

You know that I've gone quite awhile without reading a book myself. Especially a book that I personally wanted to read, and not one that I had to read for a class or something like that. I wouldn't mind getting ahold of another book to read. I'm thinking about The Mists of Avalon for my next book, but I'm not sure.

Go for it. Treat yourself to it. If you've had your eye on it for a while.

I am always reading something; though lately, not as much as usual since I started a new job and have less free time. I do occasionally break down and buy a brand new book; but, most of my books are from either the library or from used books that I purchase. I buy used books from my library, the local thrift shops, and ebay. I have actually gotten some books for as little as 5 cents. Used books are an inexpensive way of discovering new authors and completing collections.

I know the feeling. Though, my job is being an art student and having many projects. This semester though I've had less projects and more time to read. I also get a few of my books from the library. I usually save my favorites that they have to get rid of.

I really enjoyed the Dragon Jouster's books. I'd probably be happier with the Elemental Master's books if I enjoyed the era they are being written in. I like Misty's writing.

I thought the last book was a little rushed in the Dragon Jouster's books. Oh well. I guess I like the era the Elemental Master's series is set. Not sure why.

I've actually never heard of Misty to be truthful.

I kind of realize that Misty wanted to do a "dragon" series like Anne McCaffrey. I personally liked the "Egypt" placement of it series.

I read all the time. I'm a very fast reader so a small paperback is done within a day or two. I just bought a new book yesterday. I couldn't imagine going more then a day or two without reading.

I'm usually the same. If given the chance I can read a large book in only a couple of days.
