I remember not having a lot of clothes when i was young... or that most of the clothes i wore were hand me downs from my older sister... or sometimes during chirstmas... we would have the same outfit... i didn't mind this at first... but as i grew older i started asking why i didn't have new clothes or those that are of my own... then i realized that we didn't have enough money... so i accepted that fact... and bought a lot of clothes when i started working...

Yes, I also had a lot of hand me downs. It was not until I was older and made my own money that I really started buying clothes for myself. Even so, the hand me downs I recieved were always in good condition and were pretty nice looking...

As a kid i wore pretty much whatever my mom bought for me. however as i went to highschool i found myself pickingout my own clothes. I wore the standard jeans and t shirt but as i got older my style deviated from the mean a bit. I grew further away from trends and got my own style.

yeah that pretty much sumed up my experience too , i started shopping for myself bit by bit like 6th grade getting a little bit more say so in what i wore , and then as i got older the trens started to get more focused on my age group at that time i didnt like that because i didnt want to be labeld as "Just another one of those " ...so i started to grow outta that about 9th grade and it went on from there on til now ..so i simply wear a nice polo shirt , levi 501 jeans and some nice always clean sneakers or sperry loafers or a Designer hi top sneaker....

My mother also picked out a lot of what I wore untill I was about 7 or 8, I went to an all boys school growing up so I always wore the same thing on school days. The typical coat and tie, of course I had to be diffrent in choice of neckware. This is something I picked up from my father, he always wore them and bestoed his love of them onto me. on other days and after school I would normally wear a nice shirt and slacks, not much else. we were a cressy family, except for my younger brother who was always more casual compared to the rest of us. My style didn't change too mcuh as I got older, I carried a lot of my childhood traits and just added to them and instilling some style habits upon my sons. Not by force, more like monkey see monkey do. You can dress man man to the 9's but if he is uncomfortable then he will only look as if he dressed to the 5's or 4's, that is something my father used to always say working within his clothing store and I find it to be somewhat true as well. I guess my story isn't that interesting but it is what it is and that is what I remember.

I remember having lots of home-made outfits when I was younger, lots of velour! In middle school it was uniforms so I didn't have to worry so much. In high school I worked so I could buy myself clothes since we didn't have the money for that. I chose to buy a lot of cheap clothes that were over-the-top instead of fewer nice quality pieces that maybe could be mixed and matched. I certainly look back and wonder what was I thinking! Although I always head to the sale rack first now, I would like to think I learned my lesson and just have less pieces but ones that are nicer and won't go out of style like those parachute pants and neon shirts did! :)

Oh, this is a good one! I remember my mother picking out my clothes until I was around 10 maybe. For the most part, she did a good job. However, some outfits I could have did without. Such as the horrible bell bottomed pants and such. When I look at pictures of my siblings and I in these, those are the times when I have to ask myself, "What the heck was she thinking?" After I was old enough, I began picking out clothes for myself and I remember one friend of my mothers said that I always matched, was neat and dressed great. That made me feel great. I always have been mindful of those things. I like to match and coordinate my clothes. My styles usually lean more towards casual/comfortable but on special occassions, I know how to dress things up. I usually wear things that I like and that suit my moods at the time...
