How you celebrate your friends' birthday?

Recently,I have a friend,it's will be soon his birthday.actually,our colleagues dicuss about how to celebrate,some say eating singing etc.but at last we suggest to travel together.that is new for us,what do you think about this,or how you celebrate for your friends,do you have anything share with us?
