What is the real purpose for work?

we people are always busy with our work, but did you stop the steps and thought what is the real purpose for work?
may be for the better life, for a big house, for cute girl, for the family...
do all of this is what you like ?
life is so contradiction.
what do you think about this issue, my dear friends ?

Working for personal purpose should only to make us survive, so we can eat, dress, and sleep well. The extra energy we have should be channelized into spirituality :) or working to serve humanity.

For me, the first reason I work is to put food on the table so as my stomach cannot complain. My work does not yield alot to save extra. I earn enough to sustain me from end month to end month and sometimes it even becomes less.
One day I would like to work extra hard to live luxuriously, own a car, a house and more.
