Do you know the temperature in the South Pole in summer?

These days it has been cold here. Today when I went home, on the way I suddenly wondered what the temperature would be in the South Pole in summer. If it is possible, I don't think I will like to go there one day, especially in winter. But how about summer? Anybody knows about it?

I believe the temperature in the South Pole might still be very cold. As from what I have seen in the documentary, there is snow everywhere, the explorers there still put on thick sweaters when they are having their adventurous activities during summer days. So I guess the temperature there might be below freezing point.
