Do any of you grow any roses? Any particular type that you recommend and is easy to take care of. Thanks.

I dont have any now but I have grown them off and on for years. One of the keys I found was to make sure they had plenty of air circulation which for me helped cut down on black spot on the leaves. Average to good soil and a good brand of rose food helped too. I made sure to prune them back before the growing season too and kept clipping off flowers during the season to maintain the look and keep the flowers growing. I wish I had a place to grow them here but I dont. Sigh. Have fun.

Thanks for your response! That sounds reasonable, it needs good air and food to grow healthy. I never heard of rose food though, lol.

Roses are actually very easy to grow. Especially if you get something that has been around for years. Some of them will grow regardless what you do to them. However I do recommend fertilizing them regularly during the growing season. If you would like to produce more flowers all you have to do is cut the expired flower buds.
