Is pierced ears, only for girls or guys too?

What do you think? Does piercing only belong on a girl, or ok for a guy to try as well. For the girls, what do you think of a guy with pierced ears. And guys, how many of you have piercings or are considering it? Also who got a piercing when they were small and who got one after growing up?

I think pierced ears are for both girls and guys. I've had my first ear piercing when I was 7, and got my second holes when I was about 13. My boyfriend has had one ear pierced since he was 15. I pierced his other when he was 17, and now he also has a dathe piercing in one ear, and a rook piercing in another. They look good on both males and females. Just as long as the boys don't wear the fancy dangly earrings that girls enjoy.

ima boy 16 got double pierched on my both ears.at 12 i got 1 and at 15 i got 2 at the time of my mom get her second.i wear studs on 1stlobes and hoops with samll ball hangings on second .i like to wear hoops on second that mt mom earings.can u give suggestion that what type of earings can i wear on my bpth lobes

I believe anyone can have their ears pierced. I don't understand why mean having their ears pierced is such a social taboo.

Yeah, only guys get stereotyped about it. I guess it all started from tradition. Only girls used to get their ears pierced.

I had my ears pierced when I was 8 or 10 years old. It was a gift from our elderly neighbor. I really didn't want to get them pierced, but I knew my mom wanted me to. Plus, there was no way I could be rude and not except the birthday gift.

I got my ears pierced when I was 11 or 12, believe it was more my mom who wanted it done than me. But it was the popular thing so I was ok with it. I've left it up to my girls whether or not they want their ears pierced and so far neither one wants to subject themselves to the pain. (I should note that neither one of them is really into girly stuff like dresses, jewelry or makeup). As for guys, it's dependent on the guy. Guys with 1 earring looked cool back in the 80's. But when they started piercing both ears I thought it looked a little weird. Some guys can pull it off though. -Tink
