Indian scientist working with DRDO has become very conscious nonw a days and deeply concerned about the project cost. If you will see earlier programs happened in DRDO like Lakshya, Nishant etc, you will find many products (Inconnecting and switshing solution) are proprietory and due to this fact, OEM are pricing them heavily with their own terms for delivery. However now a days, they have become very alert and emphasizing on use of product which are a standard one like D38999 connector. There are 100's of supplier across the globe, who are manufacturing or assembling this product. Because of this, DRDO are able to get competitve quote from many vendor and it helps them to reduce their project cost. As per my observation most of the programs are now going to be based on D38999 Connector (as we can see in LCA case)... Could any one tell me the market size of D38999 connector (including aerospace, military and space programs)
