No but I had that idea and I think I'm about to start something different. I really hate the listing fee. Ebay makes you pay them even if your item does not sell. Plus they take a commission and fee when it does sell. There are sites out there that will list and sell your item. Then they will pay your shipping and send you a box with a shipping label and you send the item off. They take 20% of the price. So you keep 80% but don't have to worry about anything. So I think I might start doing that but if my items start selling pretty fast then I'll do listings myself.

Hi lavaflow14, I think your right about that listing fee ebay charges I hate it. Mostly because even if you want to try and see if something will sell you end up paying even if you cant sell it. As for the site you are talking about could you please pass me a link I am curious what sid ethis is. With kind regards, MOnline

Hi MOnline. I sell on Ebay but it's Thomas wooden trains, nothing handmade. I make decent earnings...about $7k per year for 10 hours of work per week. Handmade items can go well depending on what it is, probably mostly jewelry, purses and sewn items. Actually you can list as a website or logo designer for sellers under the services category. Charge $20 or so to design a logo based on what the customer tells you they want it to show or $100 plus domain cost to create them a website. It is a little high to sell on Ebay but it's free to browse categories and see what is selling well!

There are a variety of ways to get trains. There are wholesalers but you have to do alot of internet research to find one in your area. Some sellers buy in bulk from ebay and resell but that cuts in on your profit. I also get used sets from garage sales, local paper classifides, craigslist etc and break them up to sell them. Alot of people I know say garage sales and wholesale flea markets are the way to go if you have the time to spend listing items. But you want to focus on one item: "antiques", clothes, toys, Disney items etc until you are well known and trusted by the Ebay community. Good luck on your selling!

I have listed a couple of stuff I made on Ebay and did not get any sales. You need to find something that you enjoy making and make sure your product is unique.

I have sold hand painted jeans on ebay, but the amount I made was not worth the effort. I have seen auctions for websites, auction templates, website templates, etc. on there, so I think it would be something you could sell on ebay.

hi kellys3ps, Thank you for your reply. It is to bad that the amount made was not worth the effort of selling it on ebay. As for the website templates and stuff I am wondering there are a lot on there so will they really sell. Maybe if I created a totally new set of templates this would work nicely but I don't really know if I can sell them for that much. With kind regards, MOnline

i love making candles and lip glosses. i just got into making my own perfume. i am trying to find another site where we do not have to pay so much to list the item and then get fees from all sides no matter if you sell it or not.
