The advantages of making your own ice cream...

Ah, today was such a lovely day! The sun was shining, the birds awake, the crocuses were a-bloom, and fresh ice cream in the freezer... Fresh, home-made, Alton Brown-approved ice cream. Heavenly. I've made my own ice-cream for the last two years. I love it. Once a month, I take one of my days off work and create a plethora of desserts: the one that never comes off the list is ice cream. This month, it was licorice ice cream. There is power in every bite...you created this wonderful, creamy delight! How can any man deny you? How could your waistband even consider expanding? I find it so much more satisfying than buying ice cream. Any one defending their store-bought equivalent? Why, if you are?
