Changing my avatar

Okay so I know that I've changed my avatar once or twice before, but now I can't seem to! Can someone tell me the steps to do this? I'm drawing a blank. I went into edit your profile and from there looked to edit the avatar or photos but couldn't. Any help would be appreciated! I know many of you may chuckle at this, like progamer and others who are very adept at computers!
