Jeans being too long

I am 4'11. I have always had trouble finding jeans that fit. They are too long. I've tried getting them hemmed but that just makes them look funny and cost more money. This is very aggravating because I could go shop for jeans for one hour and only find one pair of jeans. Sometimes even worse than that. I've went to shop for hours and found no jeans at all. The only place I've found is in Jcpenny's in the kid's plus section. LOL. I'm not even a kid. I don't even know if they have that section anymore it's been so long since I've been there. Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

my girlfriend claims she's 5'3", i say 5'1.5" so we tried old navy's short jeans and pants and so far so good, they shrink as you wash them too, from the length not width, so by the second washing they are exactly right, if i dry them after that round, they become too short.. plus they dont fade easily ..

i was going to suggest old navy too. but make sure you get the shorts because i'm 5'4" and the regulars are way too long on me.

I'll have to try that then. Thanks you two.
