Mosquito for Teens in the United Kingdom

Can you believe this??? There is a ultra-sonic device being used in the United Kingdom to keep teens away from certain public places. That's right. It gives off a buzzing sound and is supposed to be really annoying. The catch is that only people under 25 can hear it. The idea is that old people can go out to the theater and not worry about gangs or unruly teens. And the city doesn't have to worry about vandalism. But isn't this discrimination? WHat about people's rights? And do they have the right to use this on public property? There is talk of a ban soon and I sure hope it goes into effect.

That's ridiculous. Humans of all ages have the same hearing. There's no way to make the device age restrictive. Everyone would be able to hear it.

Yeah that's what I thought too but this is totally legit. If you don't believe you can check it out for yourself. I think that maybe the pitch is very high and that adults have lost the ability to hear it.

Well I'm sure there are exceptions. I mean some adults say they hear a faint buzzing sound but it doesn't compare to the intensity of the teenagers. Likewise some teens can't hear it.
