People who seem to exaggerate in reviews

So I'm reading reviews of Spirit airline, and almost every review I find says "You have to pay extra for EVERYTHING" or "They nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING". So I read the reviews to see what is everything? Then every review (I swear) says something like this "You have to pay to check bags, buy snacks on the plane, etc" ...Ok, I already knew about the checked bags and snacks from spirits website... so what is this Etc? Why is every person writing the reviews acting like you have to pay for a dozen extra charges but none of them say any more than those 2 minor charges? Does this bug you when reading reviews of anything? For me, it seems like the reviewers are exaggerating the extra costs by saying EVERYTHING and "etc". All in all, a few dollars to check bags won't stop me from flying.
