Can one be too old to play video-games?

'Shouldn't you turn your Playstation off and get some sleep?' A normal question to a 16-year old, maybe not so normal to a 37-year old. I consider myself as part of the first generation that grew up with videogames, and still love them. Especially if you see what next-gen games are like. Is that either weird or wrong?

I don't think so. It doesn't take much to play video games as long as you have hands and can sit.

Not at all! I see on the news all the time where people 60-90 are playing video games! Lots of retirement homes now carry the Nintendo Wii because it provides excercise for the elderly and it's fun excercise. My grandma is 68 years old and still plays video games. She has an Atari, computer and a Sega Genesis.

I don't think age is a not problem to play video-games. Some people who are very old like playing video-games very much because they have child-heart. Being honest, I am not intersted in playing those games. Anyway different people has different hobbies.

Your never too old to pick up a controller and play an old fasion game of Super Mario Brothers. Any generation can still play the games today. But they better relize they are going to get owned by the younger generations. lol.

No, there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, more game are developed to cater most to mature gamers compared to the days when they mostly go around the teen years. In fact, think about who developed the games before, were they all young like the ones who played the games before? They were more older than that, right? Well, that's just what I think that there is nothing wrong or weird about playing video games at any age older than what others think.

well, I don't think that anyone can be too old to play video games. current generations' games are great to just pass by. I still love video games even when I don't play anymore, but when my younger cousins or my nephews or nieces play the games, I would surely sit down and watch them play too. :) well, perhaps for the case of that question you mentioned was that "you have been too much ...", even when we enjoy something very much, we still have to break for a rest. nothing wrong, I believe.

I don't think that any age is too old to play video games. If you are addicted and you are playing too much, well then that is a problem at any age. Now if you are 37 and are you are consumed by children's games, then that might be considered weird. How weird would an older person who set aside time to watch hours of teletubbies, or seaseme street seem?
