Do you use a domain name and a redirect?

To those of you that don't know what I am talking about.. You may have a website address that is really long so you want a short catchy name like my www.NoToxGreen.Com . It kinda tells you it's something about a non-toxic green company and it's easy to remember but when you click on it you will be redirected to another address. So do you use them? oxoxoxoxoxoxo

Thak you for information, Ray, when I put in a website that I didn't spell right Yahoo will will redirect and say you mean, and then they will type in the correct name for you. and it takes you right to it.

using a redirect is simply a way to fool others into thinking your are more important than you actually are. You have to own the domain name that is being redirected in the first place, if you point it at a free site with a dozen directory between the root and the website you just look unprofessional. It is one thing to use a temporary redirect when moving a site or to seamless integrate a feature like server side programs which have to be in separate directories from the rest of the web hosting data. However to just do it for the sake of doing is bad web management and anethma to SEO
