I really would like to give my best friend a unique and special gift to celebrate her 30th birthday on the 13th of March. As she has always been there for me through thick and thin and she has so many positive qualities she is one in a million. I am not quite sure what to get her though??? Has anyone got any ideas on special gifts or surprises to give someone for their 30th? What kind of presents did you get on your 30th? Or what was the best surprise or present you have ever received on a birthday?

Hi Cupid, thanks for your enthusiasm about my discussion. I could do with the extra ideas. She is married, with three children aged 12years, 3 years and 10 week old baby. She has just finished a course in natropathy and she is also interested in getting a degree in teaching. She loves sales, shopping, going to the beach. At the moment she is really interested in fitness and joining a gym. She also enjoys singing and dancing. She does not get much time to herself at present with new bubs and she is also reluctant whether to have 30th birthday party as she is worried she won't get enough people to come. I don't know why she is such a great person. However she does not get chance to meet new people as she has alot of commitments at home.
Hope I have not overflowed you with information. Thanks heaps for your effort.

Thanks for information
i have 3 suggestion
1) Take her family for dinner on her birthday with her family or nice resort at beach
2) get her a member ship of nice gym for 3-6 months
3) get her family picture, get it framed in a nice crystal frame and gift her with nice champane
and sure nice card with sincere wishers and prays
as it seems she is type of women to whom family matters more
thats what i think
take care

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you cannot taste or touch! Maybe you could take her out dancing, or arrange for a night out for her and her hubby while you babysit the kids--if she would be ok with that. If she enjoys singing and dancing, maybe she likes music, and you could get her concert tickets to see one of her favorite artists (if you think she would like that) and offer to babysit for her that night, or if not babysit then go with her?
Does she like karaoke? Singing in public? I'm just wondering if she has done anything like that and if not, whether she would enjoy it.
If she's not sure whether to throw a party then why don't you throw it for her, or help her organise it especially with the guest list, so that she won't feel too stressed or worried about no one coming--but make sure the people who are there are people who truly appreciate her special qualities!
Does she have any hobbies that might be useful to know for gift ideas? Does she have any secret (well, not too secret!) dreams/wishes, that maybe you could help her fulfill?
I guess the best surprise I ever got was a surprise birthday party, which was really a surprise because I didn't have a clue it was being planned. And the best present--hmmm, that's harder to choose, maybe it was a special perfume with a fancy bottle cap, or the pink nightgown set when I was about 8 or 9. Lately, my presents are usually practical things, which I still appreciate of course but I don't know how to rank those among the rest. Good luck figuring out something! If you want to tell us more about her, to get some more ideas flowing, that would be cool. It's really great to have a friend like that and I can totally understand you wanting to get her something really perfect!

THanks for your excellent ideas. You are pretty spot on, I was thinking of throwing her a party, still deciding best idea.
Concert tickets sounds like a good idea, she would love that. I will look into it. Babysitting for her so she can go out is also another great option. Think though that I might definately throw her a surprise party and still buy her something special.
Kareoke, she loves, we have been a few times together in the past, we have a ball. It is great how someone spoilt you with a surprise party, that would be awesome. I have not been that lucky yet. Perfume, mmmm that is also good, you have left me with many great ideas, thank you so much.

Hi gandatwo, thanks for your great idea. You can't go wrong with a pamper package, she definately could do with one, considering she has three kids and one being a little bubs. I will keep that in mind. Gym membership, I have thought of that one too, think she may be getting home gym soon though.
