Thinking of a dear friend

This morning when I turned on the t.v. that show Golden Girls was just starting. It made me think of a dear friend of mine that passed on 3 years ago. She loved Golden Girls, her favorite thing was to snuggle up under her blanket with the box of chocolate that her husband always bought her and watch reruns. The theme song from that show has always reminded me of her even before she passed. IT just describes the type of person she was perfectly. She was a beautiful person with a radiant spirit. Her life was a hard lived one with her hardships growing up, the things she went through as an adult, and her illness that finally took her home to her maker. I miss her deeply but know that all her pain in life is gone and she is in a glorious place.
God sent his angels to touch our lives
One by one he calls them home.
We can mourn the empty hole it leaves
Or move on and smile as they would want.
Blessings and peace they bring to us
love and hope they leave behind.
The simple touch of their hand
Is enough to fill our hearts forever.
Someday soon our eyes will behold
The true glory God bestowed on them.
Until then we hold tight to the memories
And that feeling only they could give us.
In Loving Memory of Helen
One of the most beautiful spirits to ever grace my world.

Thank you Gabs. To be honest, because of her disability we spent a lot of time watching t.v. so there are a lot of shows that make me think of her but none like Golden Girls. She was a great client and friend, working for her was like hanging out with my best friend all day 6 days a week. The problem was the weight I gained, all we did all day was watch t.v. and bake and eat and living in Alberta a lot of the time it was too cold to walk off the weight and I am too cheap to buy a gym membership.
