with the emergence ofthis Indian premiere league matchesI am worried about one thing very much. The tension is whether these players later would focus on international cricket or not. He can see that there is so much money for the taking in the sense of matches and so they would focus more on performing these type of message so that they have a higher bid. Apart from that a strange thing about the system is players are being fitted for manipulating players commodity because commodity can be bettered for good players talents and now by admitting that a passing the message that even talent is a commodity which can be bedded for and I don't like this one do. Cricket is an art and it should be treated that way and the rest you never know this can also bring a new dimension to the world of cricket so let's wait and hope for the best I would like to know what do you guys think about this previous league.

I think IPL is dragging cricket towards the way football is played nowadays. In football, club games are given much importance and you rarely see games between countries. You regularly hear about English Premier League, Champions League, Spanish League and similar. The real serious games between countries played only rarely like World cup or European cup. Tennis has a similar approach. Grand Slams are not country-based. Only few tournaments like Davis Cup are country-based. Other than that, it is an individual game. Cricket will take this route soon if IPL succeeds. The games between countries would gradually reduce and you would probably see only big tournaments, involving all the countries, conducted once in two years or so. People would start to wear T-shirts bearing logos like "Chennai Super Kings" instead of the blue shirt.

first of all I would like to thank you for responding to my post. I think you're right that too much money is dragging cricket to the position with the ball is placed today. In football it seems the players are more interested in club cricket and international cricket and that is the reason why they do not perform to the expected level when it comes to World Cup football the last football was very pathetic to see a player like ronaldinho not even making a good run with the ball. This is an event which takes place after four years so people want expecting a lot and if you he was such a performance than the fans will definitely be deprived of good footballplus football is a matter of country nation when you're playing international football you representing your country and that means you should give more than a hundred per cent for the pride and to stage a 15 but that is not happening right now and I think is going to happen with cricket also.

I think creation/formation of IPL is not ideal for sports loving people in India. In other words it can be termed as gambling . I donot think sponsor will earn money as all matches will be played on local based and club wise. Moreover entering industrialist in the cricket field is quite surprising. Though in European country such type of league is being played for football. Formation of IPL is nothing but a game plan of BCCI to cut down the ICL. I think ICL is doing a good job as they are searching the talent through out India and coaching them for future Team India. But Kapil's joining the ICL hit the BCCI to do all this thing. pkc3000

Though IPL is brain child of BCCI. Industrialist are buying & selling the cricket players all over world. Huge money has been thrown in the market. For the sake of money players will not play their original game & also for the nation. IPL can spoil the true sence of cricket. All cricket loving nation should protest against the same . pkc3000

yes my friend I also think that this competition is going to get more publicity to cricket than Everton will also improve the overall quality of Cricket in India with so many big stars included it is something about big-money and so we can easily come to the conclusion that this will gain a lot of interest from different people.

Ipl is certainly very good concept considering cricketers had no life after a certain age and also for the spirit of the game , i dont think it would affect the focus of the players on the international arena because they have a standing only because of there name at this level, also you can take example of the football legues abroad where its only building a name for the game but the focus of the players remains the same.

it si a great question i think. IPL is associated with so much money. i also think players will be more keen towards it. Cricket is becoming more like international football. But still see what happens.
