In the U.S, 'jarhead' is an old affectionate term for Marine. Since I served for more than 21 years and retired from the Marine Corps, Ldyjarhead is who I am!

This is an interesting discussion. I always wonder about people user names. Well, I added an avatar yet, but my user name comes from my 3yr old daughter. Supee is how she says super. For example SpiderMan is a supeehero and so is SupeeMan. So I am a supeemom, or SuperMom.

My username is my Hebrew Name. I change my Avatar a lot. Every time I find a cooler picture than the one I already have I change it. I really like the one I have now. I was known as the Snake Lady for years and still am in some circles. I did snake inlays in Biker's leather jackets during Bike Week. I was pretty popular for about twenty years. Then I started having problems with my hands and had to give it up. All good things must come to an end. Shalom

Adoniah...gosh I thought it was of greek origin..not that it matters.Absolutely fantastic talent...we live directly behind a bike distributor..and often chatt with the workers. It is nothing on the week-ends to find several hundred bikers gathered for a fun run, quite a huge concern, and brother what a turnover they have.Shame about the hands, however one door closes and another door opens. Shalom

This username I'm using is kinda new as I don't wan't to use the one that all my real friends know.. But some may actually guessed that this is me. Every syllable is from the first 2 letters of my real first names and 12 is my fav number, the same one I used for the other username. It's nothing ispiring but I just thought it sounds nice and it's still me. I don't have no inspiring reason why I choose my avatar. besides it's very usual.

Well my avatar is self-explanatory it's the wolfie in question, yes that's me, the big furry brute in the picture wearing the blue top! Taken last year at a beautiful garden centre in Dorset, England. As for my username well I'm a wolf, I am nocturnal I prefer the nights, I am furry, I am very protective of my friends/cubs, I am very wary of strangers and I am lovely and warm, and I'm not a fierce creature really unless I see my ex LOL!

My username is actually derived from my second name, rae, & the initial of my first name--that just added the "ie" to make it longer-- hehe as for my avatar--these are actually cookies that we bake for kids--we hold party workshops for kids & one of our booths is the cookie decorating booth wherein my sister & bake the butter cookies, make the decor like the eyes, horns, fangs, lips & give the children freedom to decorate their own cookie monster--the kdis just love it! how about you gandatwo? what's the story behind your username =)

Aww, that's just so sweet of you to say that i'm a "rae" of sunshine-;) thanks, gandatwo! Hehe, yup, the kids just love those cookie monsters! As for your username--I actually find it pretty neat that your initials plus the word "and" actually form a Tagalog word (I'm from the Philippines)--"ganda"...I actually thought you might be of Filipino descent because of your username--"Ganda" is actually "Beauty" in English --so it's just so cool huh, that it also means something beautiful in my native tongue! Have a wonderful day now--btw gandaone for your husband is actually also a cool username!

Me thinks you are a little rae of sunshine to those kids, cute cookies..gotta watch the cookie monsters though lol....gee wizz mine was no great source of inspiration, simply my husbands first inital 'and' plus my first inital= ganda..two of us.I would like him to join as ganda one, could be a worry though, not too sure mylot are ready for him.He affectionately calls me a turky..I in turn call him a goose...wish he would hurry and lay that golden egg!..no avatar as I am having a little difficulty moving from my pictures to mylot..lol..I have chosen a frangipanni. When I was a child there was a tree outside my bedroom window, often it would assist me in exiting and entering my room without detection!Perhaps would be appoporiate for me to choose a goose?

Btw, cool pic of the frangipanni that you have gandatwo, I think it's better than a goose, though that would also be cute (your names for each other are soo cute btw!)...hehe, just another connection that I made...my thesis was actually from the frangipani (we call it kalachuchi here) leaf extracts as a means to kill mosquito larvae...believe it or not, they do have a potential as a larvicide though not as potent ;)

Hi gandatwo, this is my third avatar after I have joined mylot for a year or so. I love flower so I pick a big flower with bright petals as my avata. It was taken from my photos collection of flowers which were snatched earlier. I love reading books so I choose the 3 words: i like book (ilikebook) to be my avatar. But later I determine to use only 6 letters so I drop one i, one k and the e, and rearrange them to become the current username lkbooi.

I was once a couch-potato, all I did all day was play a game console developed by Sony. I love playing Role-Playing Games and Final Fantasy 8 was one of my favorites, both my user name and avatar were characters from that game. And since I also love animated one's, I chose what I think is best and cute for me.

raijin..if you were happy being a couch-potato what does it matter.William Shakespear wrote a play Hamlet. Here he refers to all the world as being a stage....I do think you would enjoy his insight,if you are not already familiar. Cheers

I haven't added a avatar yet. My username came at a time when everyhing was falling apart in my life. And the only thing to get me through was to have faith.

my user name is after my mum and my avatar is due to the fact i am fascinated by angels and fairies. i do believe we do all have a guardian angel. i have heard my speak to me, now you are all thinking i am some sort of weirdo, no i;m not, he has only spoken my name to me twice, but under important circumstances.

Hi margerydaw14..No I do not think you to be some sort of weirdo..lol..There are many unexplainable happenings, and many stories to be told. You must be a 'sensitive'The fact your guardian/guide has only spoken to you twice under important circumstances,'Validates' to my mind your guardian to be a true messenger.Cheers

thank you for responding to my reply in a positive way. I would like to think i am a 'sensitive' when my son was a lot younger, we used to play a game of me calling him silently , but thinking of him coming in the door from outside and you would be amazed how many times it worked !! but that was when he was very young. Thanx again
