I came across a link for a sample issue of a beautiful, digital cross-stitch magazine, The Gift of Stitching. The sub rate is $18 for 12 issues, if I remember correctly, but they have provided a sample copy online so you can see what a typical issue looks like. Unfortunately, they have removed some pages and blacked out the charts but you'll get enough of an idea whether you want to subscribe or not.
Go to http://www.thegiftofstitching.com/sample.php
RIGHT-click on the download link and choose 'Save Target As...'.
Make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed on your system before viewing.

You're welcome. And thanks for being the first to respond. When you check it out, you will see that it is really quite beautiful just from a design point of view.
