As a Singaporean I am equally proud! It was quite spectacular to see the entire nation galvanise around a single cause, and indeed, when Singapore won the bid to host YOG 2010, it was more than a cause for celebration! Congratulations everyone, and especially to the great foresight of Ng Ser Miang and Teo Ser Luck, who both spearheaded this bidding initiative and brought an entire nation of 4.5 million behind it.
I have created a Lens on Squidoo about Singapore's win! I will update it constantly, so do check it out!
You can find it at www.squidoo.com/yog2010

Well, not a avid sports fan here. I guess it is going to be a busy time the coming two years.
With the F1 races and the up coming Youth Olympics, the revenue generated from the services sector should boost the economy somewhat.
I just hope there is not more crappy excuses to increase prices. They are already bringing in surpluses. No need to rush to increase prices so soon.
But then again, I am living in my fantasy world.
