Do you have any fruit trees in your yard?

We already had several plum trees in our yard, but I have now added two apple trees, a peach tree, a pear tree, and a nectarine tree. The red apples don't do so good here but the green ones do so I tried a green apple and a hybrid that is both red and green when ripe. My peach tree is already leafing out and starting to bloom, and my pear tree should be blooming any day - this is hard to believe as I only planted them a few days ago! What kind of fruit trees do you have planted? Are there any others that you would like to plant?

I have an Apple-Mango tree in my yard. Some think that it tastes weird but I like it! Yum! I give out the fruits to my friends! And they like it compared to the other mango variety.

I love both apples and mangos, that sounds wonderful! Where did you find it? That would be another tree I would love to have...

I don't now but when I was in the Air Force and stationed in Turkey the apartment that I was renting had a big bunch of orange trees. I asked my landlady and she let me pick the oranges whenever I wanted to. That was really nice to be able to walk out of my apartment and pick oranges whenever I wanted to.

That would be great! I want to find an orange tree and a lemon as well, but so far I have not been able to find one. I will probably have to buy one in California from one of the big nurserys out there and bring it home.

I did enjoy the orange trees in the back yard. I never had to buy a orange the whole time I was living there.

I planted a plum tree the first year I lived here and last year was a bumper crop. I had more plums than I could ever use and wound up giving away a lot of them. I wish I'd planted an apple tree. I love apples and the neighbor behind me has a tree, so the pollination rate should be good.

Love trees that produce fruit mehale. We have peach trees (budding out already), apricot, pear and pecan. I'm adding an apple tree this year. I've always said I'm gonna pamper them and in my old age sit by the curb selling fruit to passersby. I would also like to plant a fig tree.

My peach is actually already leafing and blooming and I only planted it a few days ago. My pear has started to this morning as well. I had not thought of a fig tree!

I wish I had the space to have an orchard. Why don't you send me some fruit this year. LOL I've been looking for property for 2 years but it is hard to find what you want. People act like there is gold on the property and want stupid prices. I looked at this one place. They wanted $10,000 per acre on hill in the woods in the middle of no where. I could have built a log cabin and hoped that it didn't slide off of the hill. LOL

I have an orchard that has several peach, apple, and pear trees. I'd like to add a few more, but of which kind I'm not sure. I have to find out which trees do well in my climate and soil conditions. The last thing I want to do is plant a bunch of trees and have them die off, or not fruit.

That is why I planted the green apples - red ones will not do well here. Peaches, green apples, pears, nectarines, and plums will all do well where we live. I would like a mango, but am not sure it would grow well here. The citrus fruit will do pretty well here too - it is just very hard to find the trees!
