Well I wouldn't be keen on living with my inlaws. but my kids see and spend time with their grandparents everyday and I do believe it does help them learn more.

I guess it really depends on the family. I won't let my kids around my some members of my family. They didn't teach me by their actions of how to be or what to do. I only learned what not to do by having them in my life. But I guess if I had a normal family growing up I could see how having them close to my kids would be beneficial.

I definitely bet that combined families are always beneficial for the children as well as all the family members. It is so mainly because we need experienced advice always and will be always available when someone experience is available nearby. World is changing, but not so fast as we think. All things take a circle before reaching where it all started,.

Thats right..Combined families are really a great environment for a child to grow. This is a trademark Indian culture..Which India is losing currently in the name of individulism and economic independence. All the talk of living toghther and love are useless if one cant live in a family of people. There may be some misunderstanding here and there. But one should learn and living toghther can be the best thing in Life. All smiles

I agree but you don't have to live with the other family to make it like this. You could just make sure that there was time spent with the other generation.
