That a lot of young married women talk about their 'husband' every chance they get just to share the information that they are married?
My one 23 year old coworker drives me nuts for it (maybe because I'm stuck with her for 8 hours a day, or maybe because she really does say it a lot!), but today it really got on my nerves because she now has another captive audience since she's training someone new and is actually saying it more than normal.
First she interrupted what I was saying (which unfortunately is a horrible habit of hers that ALSO drives me insane about conversing with people) to tell us that Bob, her husband, made her breakfast this morning and wasn't that sweet? And then that her husband forgot to call her when he got to school so that he let her know he got there safely and on and on and on.
I think I've heard the word 'husband' out of her mouth like 20+ times already today, and we have another 3 hours together.

I can understand why it would drive other people nuts, but for the husbands it must be very flattering that their wives talk about them all the time. I know I'd rather have my wife talk too much about me rather than not at all.

OH my God your co-worker is so annoying. You know i smell something fishy in your story, are you sure she is happy with her husband, are you sure that the story is real. I know a person which used to be my co-worker almost the same attitude as your annoying co-worker but you know, she keeps on telling she was happy , his husband was the sweetest and all that, but we found out that she was physically abused. To make it short it is not true that she is happily married and she is full of problems. When we found out the truth we just comfort her and advice her so we can help her no matter what.I hope you get my point.

Hi there breepeace! This post actually made me laugh. That's funny because some people get irritated when their officemates or co-workers denies that they are married and implies that they're single every chance that they get. Well, if that was my co-worker, I might be teasing her about it more until she get sick of hearing about her having a husband. Kidding aside, I don't know if I'll do anything about it at all. Maybe I'll just let her do that and maybe I'll get used to it.
