What's your Best being Frugal Tip? How do you like to save extra money on the things you buy? Are there any really good cost cutting tips? I would say Coupons are one of the most popular money savers or are they temptation to buy a product you don't use for cheaper? Who's got the Best tips?

Coupons Coupons Coupons! and the Grocery Game. Message me if you would like know more about it. The way I avoid buying things just because I have a coupon is simple. I make a list before I go to the store. I only buy things that are on sale or we absolutely need them, and I only buy things that I know we will use. If I find a really great deal that doesn't fit in these catagories I ask myself two questions 1. Is it really a GREAT deal? (sometimes you have to do the math to answer this question -- thank goodness for the calculator function on my cell phone) 2. Could it replace be used in tandum to something that is on the list or something we use a lot of. Another tip, not to sound like a public service announcement, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Can you do with out or with less? Can it be used again? Can it be re-purposed for another use?

Excellent tips!!I now always think twice about something...do we really need it...will really use it? Alot of things have known to sit on the shelf, I have to look at it as money wasted sitting on the shelf.

My best frugal tip of the day is to turn your hot water heater off when you do not need it. The hot water heater constantly uses electricity. It is trying to keep that water at the temp. the thermostat is set at at all times. You can have the electric company come in and put a timer on it for you for free. The timer can be set to go on and off at set times. There is no reason for the heater to be running all night while you are asleep, or all day if no one is at home. They also will give you a discount if you let them turn it off during peak hours. Give them a call. You can save a lot of money and it is nothing out of pocket for you!!! Shalom

Rebates are useful. My husband has become pretty handy at finding products we already use that are offering rebates. Walgreens here even has a rebate program. We have saved on shampoo and razors among may other things. If you can, wait for sales. Sometimes that's the best way to save.
