I was just wondering if anyone actually knew how popular internet radio was? I was thinking of starting up a site once I get off of dialup that involved me and an internet radio type of thing, and just have random people I know and guests, and even bands play and I dont know, I think it would be a lot of fun. I mean i'm pretty outgoing & can come up with things off the top of my head pretty easily, so I can't lose there, :P What do you think about it?

I prefer using programs for my internet radio. More specifically what I am referring to is TractionRadio and Last.FM I do occasionally use websites like projectplaylist but only for one song at a time if I get the sudden desire to listen to a specific song. If you are interested in starting your own as a funny hobby or something like it that sounds fun. But if you are really just interested in making a playlist and sharing with your friends projectplaylist is great for this and I would recommended you check it out.

More of a hobby, really. I suppose if I feel I can turn a profit out of it though, i'll definitely look into the business side of things. Like uh, selling t-shirts n' stuff to make a profit and get even more listeners? lol, I don't know. No matter what though, I imagine i'll always be doing it for fun even if I could eventually result in a profit gain. =D

I would say go for it then. It would be cool to have another internet radio. Maybe I could make a program to go along with it so a person could choose to use the browser or app based on. I do have some programming experience. Either way let me know if you get the site up and running that would be cool I would love to support you. Getting started you would probably be able to listen to criticism and see what you think might be a good improvement from other sites. Good luck!

Personally I find internet radio excellent. I use a program where you save the stations you like by adding the url's. And I have it playing in the background almost all day long. I think its a very good way to keep people informed. Since it doesn't really cost anything and it it works very fast with broadband. So if you have a good taste in music and can keep your listeners entertained then it will be a big hit.

I don't listen to internet radio at all. I am not interested in the radio programs today. This is not popular to me. I prefer to watch movie via the net.
