Are people lazy, in general?

I ask because our way of life is kept being made simple and convenient. Drive through food places, drive through banks, elevators, escalators, pay at the pump gas stations, and the list goes on. Is it convenience or just plain lazy?

yes,as you say that developed technology lead people a more comfortable and cosier life than ever.And more and more people rely on those techniques rather than themselves.this,of course ,can make people lazy
