Amazed at yesterday's earnings

I was astounded when I checked my earnings today. Yesterday I started 10 discussions and made a couple of responses, an I earned 50 cents. I know some people make much more, but yesterday was the first time I made more than a few cents. I'm gonna try to beat that record today. lol

I've just come back to mylot after earning a grand total of $0.08 when I first registered. -_- Other than referals, what ways are there to increase earnings with mylot, so I'm not just getting 1 cent for each response?
