i hav had a long distance relationship for 2yrs now and one of those years he was on the other side of the world! we are still together and engaged we dont live together yet but we are moving in together next year and starting on our wedding plans

Actually I am in one now. We met online in March, met in person in March and have been together ever since. We live about 3 hours apart and I go there every weekend. We have decicded that if all works out we will be moving in together in May of next year. I will say there has to be a lot of trust to make a long distance relationship work. It is hard to be apart, but when you are together again it makes it all worth while.

Yes. There was this Austrian couple who had come to visit India. We became friends when they asked for a light and then had few in a bar talked spent all the days they were in my city together. Man they were nice people. We have been in touch via emails since and they are coming again this Christmas. Hope its going to be a blast.

That sounds great. It's always nice to make friends and friends from other countries. I'm in the USA but many in my job also work at home like me are from the UK and I adore all of them. We work and chat on MSN.

I'm still in one and we're doing extremely well :) Planning to move in together next spring :) We've been long distance for almost 2 years now (our entire relationship).
I was in one before this (waaay before) and it didn't go so well, but it wasn't the distance that was the problem.

yes...its one i'll cherish forever and we're still close friends, but we've both moved on since then. we met on napter, because he downloaded an acidbat song from me, adn we started chatting, then moved to aim, then the phone, then monthly visits on the stupid geryhound from mesa , az to san fran, ca... ahhh i miss those days.. it lasted from 15 - 20...so off and on for 5 years! wow... he changed my life, and all for the better. one of the coolest people i've ever met in my whole entire life :)

That's a long time. I bet you had a lot of fun taking those trips, and hanging out with him. I had a long distance relationship for 2 years after my b friend at the time had to move out of state. when we were reunited, he was a completely different person. yuck!

I wouldn't say I ever really had a long distance relationship but when I finished my high school I went to college for a couple of months while my boyfriend (husband now ) and I were still together and we still went out , we talked on the phone every couple of nights and I came home on the weekends . I moved back home after a couple of moths though .

I'm currently in a long distance relationship because of a work related thing. It's hard though! Not being able to see each other everyday or talk makes the time go by slower.

The only long distance relationship I have ever had is when my hubby goes out of town for work. We talk every night and when he comes home, WE make up for lost time.

HI yes it worked out,, and now were engaged to get married.. I live in texas and he lives in RI.. we love each other without any question.. this man is the love of my life and he loves me.. i never thought i would ever fall in love again.. long story.. but he asked me to marry him and i said yes and look forward to spending the rest of my life with him..if you love him dont let go! give it your all and trust me it will work out!
