How many of you COMPOSE MUSIC, and what stimulates you? It can be any kind of music: songs, alternative, classical, rap, blues, jazz, etc.
Even if your piece doesn't become a bestseller, you at least write it down. What motivates you, or what let's your mind suddenly create?
I find it difficult to compose anything, unless you know the "idea" or the "story" behind the music, you are going to create.
My first piece ever, I wrote way back in my young chilhood days, when my beloved dog passed away. It was my first experience with death, and that really pushed me; I needed to have good memories of her.
Any tips or ideas? And what kind of music do you compose/write?

Good for you, composing. Hope you still have it written down. Professional composers, I can see the pieces crank in. But when you don't do it professionally, it doens't just pop in whenever you want it to.
Like Bach, would compose multiple pieces non stop, one after the other. Amazing.
