My cat is very social, but when I have house visitors, cat is hard to find. I have to wait till visitors are gone. Sometimes she is picking to see who is in. Last time she was hiding in bathtub.

I have 4 cats in this house. Jack, Harry, Archie and Sammy. Jack and Harry are brothers and just over 3 years old. Archie and Sammy just came home a few months ago from the County Animal Shelter. Jack and Harry were going to be Jack and Jill, but Jill ended up being a boy...........and when we got him home, he hid so long and so good, that I named him Harry Houdini! He was underneath this old 1930's radio I have. It is actually a phonograph/radio.....anyway, he was real little and can't get there anymore. When I brought home the new boys, he hid under the couch for about 3 days. I swear, he didn't even come out for water or a bathroom break! They are all pals now though. When people come over, Jack, Harry and Sammy scatter, but Archie will jump up on your shoulder!

Is Archie more social? Oh, how nice to have 4 cats. I remember that you have few dogs as well. How many animals total do you have?

Long story here, but I have 4 cats in this house and my boyfriend has a house across the street as well. We have 7 dogs and 3 cats over there.........again, long story about all of that, he has a fenced area.......2 of the dogs are mine, Opal the white boxer and Zoe the golden. All are rescue animals......I know, it's nuts!

My cat loves boxes and if we bring any boxes home you can guarantee provided the box is still inside the house she'll find it and be in it! She is such a madam and sooooo nosey that she has to investigate, explore and hide in everything. Sometimes she even has the audacity to go to our neighbours and climb the stairs and sleep on my 88 year old neighbours bed, talk about cheek! No wonder we can't find her. I daren't leave my sock draw open cos she'll move everything out the way and nestle inside, bless her. Love the bathtub, Meg has never been there, YET! But don't give her ideas please pmsl...

Hey my friend my cats use to hide too when we would get company. Now that we moved into this house Maggie will stay on the couch if someone pops over. So now I bring Molly out and introduce her to my company and she doesnt hide anymore.LOL They are so funny! Hugs

The bedroom is my cats safe haven. When he's scared he goes to the bedroom and if needed, the back of the closet (which I always leave the door open). When I get his carrier out to take him to the vets or something, he runs straight to the bedroom so I always have to close the door. That's pretty much his main hiding place...he has no where else to hide otherwise.

I have one cat that will hide when we have company and one who wants to be the center at attention! We were laughing at Christmas time because the one cat was sitting in the middle of the living room floor grooming herself while we were all sitting around her! lol! It was like she was saying, "Look at me! Aren't I beautiful?!!!" lol!

she seems to like hiding in the closet. I don't put shoes in the closet, only hang clothes and coats so she easily hides there on the floor. most our clothes are folded

Yeah that happens to mine too, go into hiding:) Bailey tends to always find a way into my closet and hides there. Fluffy used to hide in my daughter's room, but since now a lot of the visitors are my daughter's friends she started to hide underneath the living room sofa:)

Closets are nice, quiet and often there's something soft for a nice nap:) Bailey goes a step further however.. if he find something is falling from an hanger or a shelf he will pull it down and make it his bed. I'm the one not too happy with it, the other day I was in a hurry and didn't even think on how my sweater was off the shelf, in any case it was the one I wanted to take so I put it on and worried out. WHen I got to work I realized I had quite a share of bailey's hair on it! Oh well, tape helped me to take them out :)

My cats are very social, too. One out of the three hides when I have visitors. He usually hides under my bed. The other two clamor for attention. I also discovered recently the two baby cats like to play in the bathtub when I leave the door open. If I can't find the cats (which isn't very often, as they mostly stick to me like glue) all I have to do is open the cupboard where I keep their cat food. Or I can screech in a tiny, high pitched voice, "kitty treats!" and they'll come running from anywhere. It's good to see you again, Pola. Sorry I've been out of touch. I've had many major life changes over the past couple months. Here's to hoping things stay calm for a while, so I can catch my breath again.

Hi I have two cats, Wilfred and Sybil. Wilfred is more of an outdoor cat and will only come in if the house is quite, he has no hiding place but if not on my lap will stretch himself out across the back of the sofa. Sybil however is full of mischief and tries to stay in as much as possible. If you are not giving her attention she will nip your ankles. Her favourite hiding place is my daughters bedroom, even though I keep the door closed she opens it somehow and hides under the bed and because she is all black you can hardly see her, she also loves the laundry basket and the corner behind the TV. The craziest place but this is outdoors is laying with the rabbits in their hutch, it is always open so they can come and go as the have the whole of the garden. I think she thinks they are her responsibilty to look after. Cats are just such characters aren't they. Ellie:D

Both my cats would probably chase other rabbits and guinea pigs if outside of my boundaries, but at home its like they know they are family and not to be messed with. When I was a child I used to have a rabbit called Smokey who used to come indoors and lay on the rug in front of the fire with my collie dog. Like they say animals do the funniest things. Ellie:D

Presently I don’t keep any cat. My neighbor raises three cats. I notice that the lovely black female cat always hides beneath my car whenever there are visitors around her owner’s house. I find that it is rather evasive and always keep away from me when I walk towards it.

I think our cat's favorite place to hide is under the bed. It seems like she can sleep under there for hours! She's also been known to hide in the closets too. We can't latch any of the closet doors because once we accidentally closed her into the closet cause we didn't know she was hiding there, lol. She must have been asleep in there for awhile, cause all of a sudden, we heard strange noises coming from the closet and when we opened the door, she popped out! lol

I have had a few cats. Our last, kayla she liked to hide under the bed. Right under the headboard where it was dark. Being that she was a black cat, this made her difficult to locate at times. I had a male cat named Kooter. i had him for 13 years. Again black cat. He had an unusual habit of hiding under the bed covers. He was easier to find. Just look for the lump in the middle of the bed!lol
