If you forget to bring the cellphone with you...

Suppose you forget to bring the cellphone with you after work, will you return and get back it? Or will you let it be and get it next day when you go to work? Since most of the time I go off work with my colleagues, so I will try to ignore it and get it next day when I am in the office. Of course I will feel uncomfortable to it as I am afraid I will miss some important calls. I get used to keep my cellphone with me. So when I go off work, I will make sure I already take my cellphone.

No matter where I may be, even if it means getting off my train or bus to return to my office to retrieve it - I would do so. You see my cell phone is rather important to me as it is not only used for communication purposes - I have other stored data as well and it is personal. I am not saying that I do not trust my colleagues but rather I felt that by doing this I would not be responsible for tempting others from prying my privacy and/or have other thoughts.

Besides communication, I also like to watch movies from my cellphone.

Ya, and sacrifice on your battery lest you have the habit of carrying an extra one...which is ain't me. But I find it ok to listen to songs though.

Such case has never happened to me yet. If so, I will go back to the office to take my cell phone back straight away if I discover this before the office is closed. If I find that I have left my cell phone in the office after quite some time, I know I could do nothing then, so I will ignore it and enjoy what I am doing at that present moment.

I don't work outside the home except to help my husband with his business. If I am doing that then I will go back and get the phone if I'm not too far away cause I will need it. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I don't have a paying job, but I have no doubt my husband would go back to work if he forgot his cell phone there. As his work always varies in location it wouldn't be wise to leave it there until the next day as he is rarely ever at the same place 2 days in a row. Sometimes a job falls through or it can change at the last minute and my husband needs his cell phone on hand to keep in contact with his boss in case this happens.

talking on cell phone - cell phone
I have tendency not to watch my cell phone. I let people to leave messages when I am busy. We used to have land lines only with house phones only and it was OK to miss calls and check answering machine once a day....

I left my cell phone at work 3 years ago. I haven't used one since then, and I don't miss it. It is still there if I ever need it. For a while we were watching the dust cover it, then we put it in the closet.

It has happened to me many times. And if I know for sure that the phone will be safe from prying hands in the office, I will let it be. No one actually calls me much after work anyways, so no need to waste money on transport to go back and collect it. Unless of course you are on standby duty, then it doesn't leave us with much of a choice but to go back and get it lest you get a duty call while you sleep at night.

Like I said, it is very common. Unless it is really critical to have the cell phone after work, just relax. The cell phone will still be there in the morning when you start work. ;)

This used to happen to me all the time with my work phone. I would leave it. If they want me badly enough they'll call again tomorrow.

I have forgotten to take my mobile with me a lot of times. But for my surprise I got it back all the times. Once upon a time when I lost it in a bus, the passenger whom I dont even know told me. Otherwise I would have missed it for sure. Once upon a time I forgot to take it from my office. But once I got to know about it I got there and took it. Some days I forgot to take it from my home. Those days seem to be too much irritating for me. because I will miss some important calls. I always wanted to get to home to take it, but most of the times I couldn't

My cell phone is currently turned off. I'll turn it on later to make sure I don't have any messages. It's been turned off for 2 days, and I like not anticipating any interruptions. A few years ago, however, this would not have been an option. I was working for a real estate agent, so my phone had to be turned on at all times. My boss went to bed with her cell phone. If she awoke in the middle of the night and thought of something and called me, I was expected to answer.

If I left my cellphone at my job after I left for the day. I would most likely go back and get it, I work at a department store so I may not be able to find it the next day. Also my cellphone is the only phone I have so I would going crazy if i didn't have it with me at all times.

Though we have a phone at home we both have a mobile each and we make sure that his collegues dont have my mobile and my collegues dont have his number and also our house numbers. So the only way to reach us from our office is through the mobile and so I make sure I take it with me. Infact once I left it in my desk and rushed back to get it after going half way to home as I had an important conference call. Now I have a tag to it and have attached it with my neck though initially I have felt it uncomfortable, I feel it is the best way not to loose my mobile.
