i didn't know mosquitos had teeth...but apparently they have 4 sets of teeth... here is an informative usa today article i found on the subject of mosquito teeth http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/aprilholladay/2005-09-08-mosquitos-stars_x.htm yuck! i really hate mosquitos...seeing them up close like that is not much better!

Insects have no teeth. Teeth appear only in the vertebrates, and not even all vertebrates have teeth. Birds or Turtles, and even an order of mammals, the Edentata, have no (or only vestigial, for some edentate) teeth.

Haha I really did not know mosquitos had teeth....I really do not think they do...I sure hate mosquitos but they seem to love me..At certain times of the year it is hard to even walk outside without getting bit a bunch of times...

I venture to guess that they have no teeth at all. the tube they insert into your flesh that acts like a hypodermic needle provides for acquiring their nutrition which of course is blood and liquid that requires no chewing or tearing whatsoever.

That was amazing. i study insects and I didn't really think mosquitos have teeth. but guess in away they do. Thanks for making us worklol

LOL! I didn't know that they even have any tooth. I thought they feed through that long straw like thing that is attached to its mouth. Therefore, they do not actually bite but they actually inject you when they are feeding. That's what I thought and since biology is not one of my favorite subjects, I really have no idea....
