While doing some spring cleaning, I came across my poem book from high school. (many, many years ago!) Just thought I'd share some of my favorites... Fly away seagull Don’t turn around, Don’t leave a trace, Don’t make a sound. You know you’d be sorry If you chose to stay; So don’t say goodbye, Just go on your way. No time to explain; (You wouldn’t know how) Their backs are turned, Why not leave now? You’re just like the others Who can’t face their lives; Leaving their children, Leaving their wives. You’re a coward; You are not brave. And you’ll still be the same When you go to your grave. So fly away seagull Forget about me, I’ll only be hurt But you will be free.
