Now or Later

While doing some spring cleaning, I came across my poem book from high school. (many, many years ago!) Just thought I'd share some of my favorites... I gave you everything I had to give and you took it- What did you give me? I told you my deepest thoughts and you listened- What did you tell me? Love is a two-sided affair. Give as well as receive. When I love you, will you love me back? If not, then walk out of my life now and hurt me a little. Rather than later and hurt me a lot.

I agree with bearhugs that love demands nothing or whatever, but I see your point too! I don't think your poem was meant as a selfish thing. I do believe that love can die if it isn't nurtured.

Those who give hoping to be rewarded with honor are not giving, they are bargaining!- Philo Absolute Love demands Absolutely Nothing!-"Conversations with God" by Neale Donald Walsch.
