how far apart are your kids in age or how far would you like them? I have always wanted mine about 2 years apart but my daughter is now 2 so it may be more like 3. It's not really our control since we can't seem to get pregnant. My daughter was adopted and we are probably going to adopt again. So we will just wait until we get picked....

I have 4 children, 16,7,5 and 2. so there is a big difference in age between the eldest and the next one down, 9 years and I really wish that it was less than that for a number of reasons, mainly because I think he feels left out sometimes when he cannot join in with some of the things that they get up to, but the other 3 I feel that the age gaps between them are just about right not too big and not too small. Its lovely that you adopt, I think that is really special.

My kids are 7 years and 13 days apart. So, far the age difference has not been a problem. They get along great. My son is th older of the 2 and he is her little protector.

Good question dani, My biological children are 12 years apart, then we threw in my 3 step children so there was about 8 years difference between my baby and my youngest stepdaughter. My baby was so spoiled by all the children he was absolutely rotten. Now we have 5 adopted children 6,9,10,14, these 4 are siblings, then we also have a 17 year old who has two siblings, the family who adopted them would not take her, they didn't think she was perfect enough, not A's, not skinney, you know the type, they want a perfect family, and a perfect little world, Lord knows it never works that way, and from the things her siblings have done since their adoption, I did get the "perfect one", LOL. Boy did I get off topic. I would not wait too much longer to adopt another one, with my bio children, the older ones had nothing in common with the baby, when he got old enough to interact with them, so even though they spoiled him, he was very lonely, until he started school and started making friends his own age. My oldest son had been used to being an only child, then I brought 4 more children into my life and his. There were times when I knew he resented that, because he was having to share a mom who had been all his. My adopted children all get along pretty well, and I found they are very protective of each other. Especially the 4 siblings, no matter how much you love them they still have that fear of being abandoned again, so it brings them closer, and the 17 year old feels left out sometimes, because they have a bond she can't share. I hope I haven't confused you even more with my ramblings, it is late, and I don't have much of a brain left at the end of the day. Good luck and many blessings.

Hmm this could take some math... There is 3 years between my first and my second. There is 14 months between my second and third. There is 2 years between my third and my fourth, and there is 3 and a half years between my fourth and my fifth.

It wasn't planned, but mine are 4 years and 10 days apart! My due date for my second was the birthday of my first! I kept praying, Lord, the day before, the day after, but please not the same day! They each need their own day!

My kids are 6 years and 3 months apart. I wanted it this way. I knew I wanted to give both of them individual attention and waited till my older one was in full time school before I decided to have the second. This works great for me ...and I get to spend time with each of them separately everyday.

We have three kids. Boy 11 girl 7 and girl 1. We plan to try for one more next year when our youngest turns 2 that way by 3 we will have our last. My two oldest are from my husbands first marriage. I have always wanted my kids to be close 2 to 3 years apart. My brother is still in high school and here I am married with kids and a house the hole deal. Its hard for us because we were basically raised as only children.

My two boys are 364 days apart, they're the same age one day per year. Don't give up hope about getting pregnant, it often happens after a couple of adoptions. Meanwhile, you've been blessed to choose your child(ren)! May they bring you nothing but joy.

My kids are 4 years apart. Though both fight at times, when it comes to showing love and sharing things they both are really great. And son can never tolerate his elder sister crying and he just gets angry at me even though I am not the reason for her cries. I am so happy that both of them get along well.
