Do it yourself or let someone else do it?

Do you start your tomatoes and peppers yourself or buy the starts someone else had planted?
I find I always get to it too late and end up buying someone elses starts... a few bucks for them who are prepared and thinking ahead - and a quick start on the season for me.

Unfortunately I do not have room to start my veggies indoors. My tropicals take up all of my free space in the winter. I used to start a lot of unique varieties and trade with other growers. Now I get them from the local nursery.

We always raise our own veggies. We love gardening and we know what was put on the food this way. You would be shocked to see find farmers put on the veggies they sale

I usually get ones already started - the growing season is so short it's much easier to do it that way. I've tried starting them inside myself but they end up in the way or just don't do well. We did order some seeds for a couple other things the other day that we can't find plants locally so will be forced to grow from seed and will have to start inside.

I try to get started early and plant seeds, but sometimes I get so busy and I don't get around to it and then it's too late. So I buy plants- usually at a garden center. When I'm trying something new I usually buy them the first time, so I can figure out what I am doing with them, since I don't really have a green thumb.
