the grocery store had ground beef for $1.99/lb (85% lean yet!) so I picked up a ton - most of it I froze for chili/spagetti/tacos/etc. but I saved a little bit for tonight's dinner - meatloaf!
There is really good meatloaf, good meatloaf, not so good meatloaf, you call that meatloaf? meatloaf, and of course the musical performer Meat Loaf, but that's another story...
I'd like to think mine is pretty good:
1 1/2 -2 lbs ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 McCormick Meatloaf seasoning packet
1/2 cup-2/3 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
1 tsp Chili Powder
I basically mix all the ingredients together, mush it up to resemble a meat loaf type shape (I guess to look like a loaf of bread, or a brick or some type of 3-d rectangle shape) and bake it in a foil lined pan uncovered for 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees...
My mouth is watering to eat it!!
Wikipedia has some interesting things to put in meatloaf: cereal, oatmeal, bread soaked in milk, mushrooms, veggies...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meatloaf
So how do you make meatloaf? What's your favorite meatloaf recipe?

Oh yes, I like a good homemade meatloaf!
Restaurants have a way of ruining a good meatloaf, but I prefer homemade!
Also in my experience we have tried mixing a little sausage mixed in with the hamburger, and it gave it a brand new taste, I liked it!
