Is the Ebay strike having any affect on sales, prices ?I cann't see why buyers will join in, I'm sure if there is something people want they will still bid. What do you think?Any sellers are you still isting, or in the boycot? If you're still on how's youre sales ?

I haven't heard anything about a strike, why are they striking or boycotting, I was just thinking about going back to selling some things...

It's because of changes in fees and sellers no longer being able to leave negative feedback for buyers.I only found out about it because the forums on Oztion were full of it a few days ago.

Ebay has gone a step too far this time. Every time they announce something thousands of sellers defect to ebid.net, this time around though it is not only sellers who are defecting, but buyers as well. My sales aren't affected - I completely gave up one ebay 8 months ago ebay is so yesterday. ebay thinks it is sooooo BIG that it can do what it wants, well guess what many of their sellers have had enough - and I am talking big sellers with well established customer bases who they are taking over to ebid.net. Oh and did I mention for the past two years I have paid ZILCH in listing fees over at ebid.net in TWO years.

i agree with you alternatives, that e-bay have gone too far.i hope they burst their bubble.i had some trouble with e-bay about 2 years ago,and i was speaking with a policeman and he said that e-bay have gotten so corrupt it would be a matter of when they would burst.i have been with oztion now for 2 years and only pay a sellers fee when i actually sell something and no listing fees at all.its about time that people have woken up and now leaving e-bay.cheers sue

I am not selling on there. I do have an account, but will not sell from now on most likely. I am using ecrater. And I have had some great suggestions on here this week due to the strike. Other sites where you can run auctions, I mean. I want to be able to sell vacations online from my vacation biz. I can't wait to get everything going. It really is too bad that ebay is doing this to their customers.

If you can't make negative comments, then how do you know who is good or a rip-off to buy from? That sounds strange to me.

This is exactly why MANY people are boycotting, among many many other new ridiculous policies, Final Value fee increases (from 5.25% TO 8.75%) I am on permanent vacation from greedbay I am now selling on loudfrog.com http://www.loudfrog.com/seller.aspx?UserID=26148
