What do you think about remaking old shows?

Seems like there is a new trend starting with remaking old shows such as the Bionic Woman and Knight Rider. Do you think this is a good idea to bring them into 2008 with a new look? Does this change the quality of the show for you? Personally, I wasn't too crazy about the remake of the Bionic Woman. They did too much changing in it. The original was great for it's time and I would have rather they just brought that version back. I thought the new Knight Rider was ok, but I miss William Daniels as the voice of KITT. The car was pretty awesome looking though.
