Originally, I had been using Yahoo Messenger. However, I am constantly in the look out for the best messenger that could also make you use your mic and webcam. This is because I talk a lot to my family. I have tried Skype, Eyechat, and MSN Messenger. So far, MSN Messenger works for me. Skype also transmit clear pictures and videos which is good. But it all depends on your pc processor and how fats your internet connection is.

I don't use either and not sure what Mirc is. I use gmail chat or msn live messenger to chat with family and friends.

I use both. However, I use more of Yahoo Messenger than mirc. Most of my friends are using Yahoo Messenger so I log in more at Yahoo than at mirc. But I really do not go online to chat that often. I don't have much time to spare for chatting.

I use yahoo messenger. I'm not familiar with mirc. This is the first time I learned about it. Through your post. Maybe I'll try that later. Right now, I am happy with YM.

Wow, that brings back some memories. I used to be in a chat room every night with mirc. It was pretty cool and we always had a great time. It was more like really talking with people other than waiting a day or so for a response.

I've used yahoo for years and prefer to use it over the others. I used to use AIM long ago when I first got online. But now I use yahoo and sometimes my MSN messenger is on.

I don't chat with mirc or yahoo messenger. I like to use MSN much more because no more strangers will bother you. And most of my friends use it. So I don't have to download and run another software.

Before I use to chat in mIRC, as YM was not that hype at that time. But right now, i use both mIRC and YM to communicate with my friends.

I don't chat on mIRC mainly because there are too many people in the popular channels...And its hard to keep track on one another's conversation.. Yahoo, MSN and Skype messengers are a lot better although its still quite troublesome if you have a lot of friends wanting to talk to you...
