What Have You Learned About the People on myLot?

Too bad I no longer have the references to prove my points in this discussion but such as the ways of myLot. I've learned that one truly needs the power of alert button to gain site wide recognition. The bandicoot gives away 20$ for best response and he gets 200+ comments. I give away $20 and I get 40. I've also learned that Aussies have a fantastic sense of humor. I've learned that people who don't like cheese like the thought of waking someone up in an emergency by getting in one last roll in the sheets. I've learned that there are 3 mothers of children on this site who I am proud to have on my friends list. Three women would rather die with their children then have to save the life of one over the other. I've learned that 27 people on this site think they are Super Man/Woman, my sweetie included. If a towering inferno is about to collapse in flames around you and you have a matter of seconds to get you and one other thing or person to safety you would still risk the lives of everyone you hold dear by running around screaming your head off trying to get everyone out to safety. When if you think about it, all you would be doing is waking them so they are conscious when they perish. I've learned there are 4 people on this site that feel very strongly about their freedoms. They realize how much sacrifice is made by others so that they are free to live their lives without fear of prosecution. They know that the cost of freedom is astronomical and that it is paid for time and time again with the lives of the people who are dedicated to defending it. I've also learned that I am crazy, awesome, smart, funny, well read, gracious, sweet, indefatigable, gorgeous, sublime, good looking and that I ROCK like Elvis. Wow! So what have you learned about the people here on myLot?

I've learned a whole lot about people on here. I've learned about different countries, cultures, faiths, etc..I have seen first hand on here hate for people and great love for people. I have learned that we are pretty lucky to live in America even though our politics suck most of the time. We are lucky that we have it so good and I learned how much as Americans we waste and take for granted. I also learned how much it sucks to have people that you have so much in common with and could be great friends that live so far away...:)

I don't think it will be too long before someone plans a myLot convention in Vegas. But honestly I'd sooner drive to IL. I have seen pure unadulterated hatred on every site I have ever been a member of. But I have never come across such a group of genuine caring, concerned helpful people such as I have found here. And I certainly never developed such strong feelings for any one on another site either. The people I have come to know and cherish here are simply amazing and even if myLot were to take their earnings program and run I will forever value those closest too me.

I have learned a little of this and a little of that from different people i guess.. I learned that there are a lot of people who have some pretty crazy idea's about life in general. I have learned that there is SOME hope for humanity, cause lordy some of us are actually good people! There are some caring people on mylot, and some rude people, but i guess that is the case where ever you go. I have learned a LOT of us make a LOT of typo's when making discussions, and i have learned that there is never an obvious answer to any question that i have asked lol. I am always surprised by at least one persons answer! Thanks for the experiment Cyn ;)

Did they delete your discussion ?

Yes the experiment bit the dust sometime 5 hours before I was to officially announce my best response. But that is okay. I tracked down the winner anyway ;) I won't go as far as saying there is still hope for humanity but you are right, there are some really great people here and it is because of them that I will keep coming back no matter how many discussions of mine get deleted.

You're not the only crazy one. Welcome to the loony bin. Uh - am I the first one to welcome you? Yeah - big difference between that crashing boar & you. He has that alert thingie, but you don't, so that explains the difference. Don't feel bad. I only left one comment but didn't reply to crash either. It seems that we have all kinds of people here, & some are even willing to come to the aid of a victim. Thanks for your support in the Bring Back SNDCAIN campaign. However, it seems that we've all been victims of deleted discussions, & the loss of friends from suspensions &/or bannings for no apparent reason. BTW - your discussion is the only one that survives. Should we try to rock this place like a hurricane?

Yeah, where was my welcoming committee and red carpet? I didn't even get a lousy fruit basket. That's gratitude for ya. Sheesh :) Yes all hail the almighty power of the magic alert button, but it is a good thing I don't have one. I would have hated for 100 people to respond to my experiment only to have the discussion along with their earnings go down the drain. No thanks needed. I missed her and her wit. I'm so glad to see even after people get treated unfairly they can put the past behind them and make a new start ;) I'm surprised your discussion got canned. It was so cleverly written. Just something else to throw into the pot. I'm not real fond of wind. Would you mind if I rock this place like a tidal wave?

lol...counting me as one of the people on myLot...I just realized I am the screamer! But thinking about it again, that's exactly what I would do! A few seconds isn't enough for me to think if someone is awake or asleep when they perish! I'd probably be burnt alive with all of them! Well, coming to the other people on this site...I've learnt quite a bit about them. But the one thing that comes to mind is that age and qualifications have no direct correlation with pervertness (I can't think of the right word). Though that is something that I technically knew, it just didn't strike me when I befriended someone here.

Yes you were one of the screamers but you had plenty of good company. lol As for your comment about others I have to agree. Age and qualifications have no direct correlation to perviness, also not the right word but I know what you meant. That is why I choose my friends carefully. lol

Don't know if there was a bit of a nod to me in there Cyn, but either way "thanks" =3 What I learned about people and mylot. A lot of my encounters are with females, and plenty of them I've helped out or had fun with on lot in some fashion. I might be a debater, dissenter, but I'm still a friend and so are other people on here. There are actually plenty of walks of life here, many of them I've seen in other people, some are still quite unique. I learned a cynical one is starting to have a bit of a penchant for topics under... "mature" I learned a goddess member is right there with you (even a top 10 recipient), but I've known that for quite awhile. I learned oreos can be champion material I learned a certain visitor has opinions, but also a hectic life to live I learned prismacolor, florida and an X support me for president along with some others. I also learned prisma is living well, florida is busy at life, X is doing his own thing I learned a multicolor dog and a typing caveman had interests in science, the economy, thinking, and it was rather similar to my own

Hi cynicalandoutspoken! I have not been here on the lot long enough to make a true contribution to the post. But I will say this. I have been coming to myLot for about a month, just to read the posts. I got hooked. Well, I finally signed up just about a week ago. And I feel really honored to now be a REAL part of this community. I have been a part of other sites, which I will not name here. They were really just all like one big personality contest among the community. Geeze, they even had cyber beauty contests.LOL. And the same two girls always won. ISH!! So I left and searched for something much more meaningful. I have found it here. The people here are so warm and friendly and seem to want to help each other out. So, in the short amount of time that I have been here, that is what I have learned on myLot. :o) Peace kitkatgal

I'm glad you like it here. The majority of the people I have come to know on this site are truly all very wonderful. Keep that in mind when you find yourself being confronted by one or two bad apples. They do exist but they certainly don't spoil the whole bunch. I hope to see more of you in the future.

I learned since I have been back, due to my health I haven't been around much lately, but all my old friends haven't been around either, so I am having to find new people's discussions. That is good, because I always am looking to make new friends. But I miss my old ones too.

Thanks a lot for starting such a nice discussion. i think that its a very well thought discussion from your part. it seems you have closely studied people here in mylot. i must say as I am member here for last 1 year, i have few views also. there are some friends who always tend to answer my discussion. there si one in my friendlist who always insist taht we should comment to every response we get. There are some who has numerous discussion started each day. there are few whose all the discussions are well thought.

In my over 1 year stay here in mylot, I have seen a lot people of different kind. Some are really good in starting discussion like Lordwarwizard and Ron Reyes, while others just fond of asking "what is your favorite color" and those of the kind. Some are very kind in making their response, while others are rude and tactless. Some like to have new friends and you can see that they are very dear to other users, while others is the enemy of 1 or 2. Some are here to participate a lot, while others are here to promote their sites and get more referrals.

I've learned that there are members on mylot who I can depend on for good advice and are there for me when I need a shoulder to cry on. I've also learned that most people who don't agree with me don't do it in a "nice" way and would rather fight with me than let us have our differences.

Those are called online o'doyles (from the O'Doyles in many of adam sandlars movies) they don't have anything nice to say and would rather fight with their keyboards then their brains. I ignore them (most of the time) and yes there are people here who genuinely care about others and it is the opinions of people like this that I value.

that if you open yourself up you find some people that you can't live without and that you can make strong friendships and continue to bond with people day after day. That a lot of the people on the lot are funny, witty , sexy, smart, intiutive, kind and caring. Most people here will give it to you straight and not sugar coat it when you want a answer. I have also learned that even here there are politics... But geniunely we all love to have fun and talk to eachother and get great ideas and advice and most of all they offer us a place to vent and be more supportive than any people I have come across in a long time.. Cyn you know your my best friend I even though I see in real life day after day why I love and cheerish our friendship I also see how your are still true to yourself here and it just reaffirms how I feel about our friendship. I'll call you about 11 if your still on..

I have come across lots of forums and discussions where people used to give irresponsible discussions and responses. I even thought mylot would be like that when i'm new to it. But only when i went through the discussions and responses in here i realized that i made a great mistake. On my first day i spent a whole night just by reading out the discussions which really sounds worthy and knowledge based.
