So I was watching the news this morning, and here in Baltimore they are considering making it illegal to smoke in your car if you have someone under the age of 6 with you. I have not smoked in about 2 months, and do not have children, but if you smoke in the car with your child arent you probably smoking in your home whith your child being home? I mean is it just me or is this ridiculous? If you can smoke at home with your kids in the house why should driving be any different?

As a smoker myself, I do not smoke in my home. I have two children. I wish people would be considerate and not smoke in their vehicle with children. To me its common sense, there shouldn't have to be a law. What gripes ME is that there's nowhere out in public one is allowed to smoke. I am a very respectful smoker, I do not smoke anywhere even close to anyone in public that doesn't smoke. I don't stand in the middle of the entrances, or in the middle of a busy sidewalk, etc. I go off to myself. But not everyone does it that way.

I'm a smoker, and I don't smoke in my house or in my car. But you are right, if someone is smoking in their car with their children in the car as well, odds are, they are smoking in their house as well. I really can't see someone saying "Well, I'll smoke with the kids in the car, but not in the house". There is not much of a difference there.
