Have you ever done some freelance jobs. I'm talking about the jobs you get off elance and such , where you bid for the job. At one point i tried to get some jobs on those sites , but i didn't have much luck. You need to show you talent and such. If you have ever got a job on there before , and tips?

I have done freelance work for the past 4 months. When first beginning it is hard to get any jobs because the business is based a lot on feedback from previous jobs. what I recommend doing is putting together some really great sample writings that show case your writing skills because most often then not a potential buyer will want to see if you are capable of quality work before they hire you.

Yes so people want to see samples , a portfolio. I think i might try getting a job , not sure what i should try doing. I can write , thats not a problem. I can also do administration work since i have a few years experience there. HTML work i can , php i wouldn't want to do. Design , not my interest. I hate doing design work. Thanks

I've picked up several writing jobs from Guru.com and Constant Content. Jobs that pay $5 or $10 bucks are easy to come by. On the higher paying ones people usually want to see your clips. Honestly, very few professional writers can make a living off freelance work. I make a decent amount, $400 to $700 a month, but my main income is my job as reporter for a local newspaper. One last thing, I noticed someone suggested Craigslist. All I can say is be very careful. Most of the people who post for writers there either don't want to pay what the project is work or are complete flakes. Good Luck, IBrutus-www.buildawebfortune.com

You just have to keep trying. I have done freelance work. And yes, you do have to build up feedback or find one person that you can work for continously. I like getafreelancer. And try craigslist. There are postings on there as well.
