I found this on my soap site today. Opinions? http://www.soapcentral.com/oltl/news/2008/0225-stjohn_goldsberry.php St. John Out? Goldsberry In? Posted Monday, February 25, 2008 12:35:25 AM by Dan J Kroll You can't always believe everything you read on the Internet. There are several One Life to Live rumors making their rounds on the 'net and soapcentral.com decided to get to the bottom of things. Is Trevor St. John leaving? How about Roger Howarth's return? And what about Renee Goldsberry? Trevor St. John (Todd Manning) will exit One Life to Live this spring. At least that's the buzz on several Internet web sites and message boards. The actor, however, assures fans that nothing could be further from the truth. "A friend of mine let me know that some people out there are under the impression that I'm leaving the show in April," St. John writes in his official blog. "I wish I knew where these things come from, but I thought I should tell you that this one isn't even a little bit true." In May 2003, St. John had the unenviable task of taking over the role of Todd Manning from Emmy winner Roger Howarth. Fans welcomed the actor when he was introduced as another character, Walker Laurence. Several months later, however, it was revealed that Walker was actually Todd Manning. Fans were initially unreceptive to a "new" Todd, but over time St. John was able to win them over and put his own spin on the role. St. John's staying put also silences talk that Howarth will soon be returning to the show to reprise his award-winning role. Talk of Howarth's return heated up last week when Howarth's As the World Turns character was presumed dead in a car bombing. In other One Life to Live gossip, fans are whispering about the possible return of Renee Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson) to One Live to Live. A show source tells soapcentral.com that Goldsberry is not returning to the show "at this time." The Emmy-nominated actress exited the ABC soap last year when her character fell into a coma. Goldsberry, who appeared as Nala in the Broadway version of "The Lion King," recently wrapped production on the indie film Pistol Whipped. The movie will be released to DVD in March.

I liked Renee Elise Goldsberry's character, Evangeline, but (sorry) I am over the idea that she returns. I don't think that Evangeline will even have a shot at a decent story line! As for, Trevor St. John, I hope that he doesn't go anywhere! I absolutely love the humor and sarcasm that he bought to the character, Todd Manning. I must admit, however, that it took me some time to actually get use to St. John. Roger Howarth was "the man". He played Todd Manning like no one else could. He was dark, evil, brooding, but it was something about him that kept you wanting more! Howarth was so good! But I don't think there's any reason for him to return!

I have to agree. I think the story is wrong, just a ploy to peak interest in the show.

I completely agree with you on this. I really liked when Roger Howarth played Todd, and I was resistant to the new one because it seemed like the "powers that be" were just trying to make Todd more likeable. If that was their goal, I think they succeeded. I don't know if I would like Roger Howarth to play the Todd character now. I picture Howarth as the dark, brooding type as mentioned above. I wish Evangeline had never left. I like her better than her sister (blanking on her name right now), but I agree that there just doesn't seem to be any place for her right now on the show.
