I am just wondering, who will be our next president? Obama, Clinton or McCain? Who do you favor more? I am a conservative and republican, so I would go for McCain. How about you?

I think this is the scarest election in US history. Our choices are not very good. The only chance we have is in the vice presidents who they choose. I do not want Clinton to get it. She scares me the worst.

Why are you scared? When the Clinton's were in office we had the best economy in decades. We had money in our pockets and not at the gas pumps. We had peace in the middle east and foreign natiions were all in unison on our global future. Bill Clinton may have made some mistakes, but he is still one of the most well loved Presidents we have ever had. If anything you should fear is 4 more years of Republican beauracracy or 4 years of well written, elaborate speeches and no substance. I love my country and more importantly, I love being able to support my family without pain in my wallet.

I truthfully am not really intrested in any of the candidates. However I refuse to vote for McCain due to his stance on abortions. I think that a Democrat will be elected due to the stigma that President Bush has left. America seems to be looking for a change. What are the issues that concern you the most?

social security, taxes cut, gay marriage should not be allowed, iraq war & healthcare rising costs. What do you mean by stance on abortions? He is a christian so he must be against abortions.

I really respect your beliefs. I know we should look for a change, I pray that whoever stays as a President, that He/She rules for the best of our country, we need peace, stability and to lower gas costs, taxes, etc.

Not all Christians are against abortions :) I'm Catholic and pro choice. It isn't a choice that I would make, but just because it isn't something that I wouldn't do I don't want to take that option away from someone else. Gay marriage doesn't affect me because I am not gay. I believe that if you do not support gay marriage then you shouldn't marry someone who is gay. The war in Iraq I am so torn on. My husband is a marine and I really do not enjoy these 14 month deployments. I think we need to end it in a manner where we take 3 steps forward and zero steps back. John McCain mentioned his "100 year plan" for Iraq and I right then and there decided against him. I think he'd make an okay president, but I'd like someone in office that can put their personal beliefs aside and do what is best for our country. I could go on and on about the importance of the separation of church and state and the war in Iraq, but I think you would like to be spared my left wing propaganda. lol

i'm a libertarian but going for Ron Paul, Mccain is another bush in my eyes and I will never go demecrate. Mccain wants this war to be a 100 years war he said so himself. I just get bad vibes from him and for some reason he reminds me of Bush when everyone liked him at first untill he screwed things up. I think Mccain is going to be the same. Everyone likes him and boom we have another bush

What does Ron Paul believes in, what does He has to offer for our country? I don't think McCain will be like Bush, every candidate is different, but you know, you have the free will to vote for the person you think is the most adequate for our country.

Research the web to find out how the candidates think, what are their beliefs, and why they run for presidency. I favor more for McCain because he has traditional values, he has experience in the military and will certainly take care of our troops, he wants to have the taxes cut and lower healthcare costs.

I believe that if you want the democratic party to win, you need to choose a candidate with good values and not to be a woman because we are minority and men still think that a woman should not rule our country. Let's pray that we elect the best president who will think about the best interest of our country.

Your choice is not a bad one but I still have to wait until the last minute to see how things are going. In our state of Michigan I liked Mitt Romney because he was the sort of man who would make a good president. MC Cain is also a man of principals but it is still many months before the Nov. and I will like to get more info before I make the final choice. I think this is going to be a very big elections for the United States and I hope whoever gets elected will keep our country on the path to peace and prosperity and justice for all.

I think Obama has the slim lead in the polls but I think it will be a very tight race. I'm definitely voting for Obama. I liked McCain (not more than Obama but more than Hillary) before he sold out. He has changed his stance on torture, the Bush tax cuts, abortion, etc. I have lost a lot of respect for him recently as he has tried to bring his party together.

I am hoping that it will be McCain, but I fear it will be Obama. Personally, I don't have anything against him. He seems very well educated, and someone I wouldn't mind talking to, however the though of his leading this country is frightening to me. He is entirely too liberal on every aspect of running The United States. He stance on home land security is just unbelievable. The fact that he says if he wins he will start withdrawing troops immediately is awful. I want the troops home as much as anyone else, but if he does that..that country will be an al queada free for all. And once they take over there, where do you think they will be heading next...here. The fact that he wants to "talk it out" with ppl like the leader of Iran and Chavez is horrifying. You can't talk to ppl like that. And if for no other reason, he just doesn't have enough experience to run our country. So, I say...Good Luck John

Though I do not care for any of the candidates and think that the American people deserve more than having to choose "the lesser of two evils" I would have to say it's looking like Obama will win unless Clinton does some amazing campaigning here on out. If McCain is elected then it will just prove that the American people take no notice of history (being backed by Bush Sr. is really the only grounds for this comment). Furthermore, what is with almost all of the candidates comparing themselves to past presidents like Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK, etc. this is just ridiculous, no recent president has shown any amount of quality even approaching that of these great men. When will the Republican candidates realize that it doesn't matter if they were part of the Reagan administration in some way, but that it matters what THEY can do for our country.

You are right, we need more presidents like Abraham Lincoln, Roosevelt or John F. Kennedy. They need to think about our country first. We need values and respect for our country. Thanks for posting.

And I believe that if McCain doesn't get all the votes, then it would be Hillary clinton. You never know. I want McCain because he believes in making our borders secure, in the institution of marriage should be the union of a man and a woman, he has a plan to have taxes cut among other things.

I've been back and forth on this for months but I still maintain our next President will be either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. At this moment I plan on voting for Obama in our state's primary on April 22, but in November I'll be voting for whichever candidate gets the nomination. A vote for McCain is a vote for McSame! Same as Bush on every issue, only even a little worse on some issues, hard to believe as that may seem. I noticed praying for our nation to choose a good leader has been mentioned several times in this discussion; I must ask, how many of you prayed for the same thing in 2000 and 2004 and how do you think that turned out? I don't mean any disrespect by this but I don't think God gets involved in political campaigns so it's up to us, the voters, to make up our minds based on the issues that are the most pressing for us and our families. If McCain wins, well we know what will happen! Nothing will change sorry to say. Be the same way it is now. Well I take that back the only thing that will change is from Bush to McCain! Country will be ran the same. I have respect for McCain do to the fact that he did serve this Country POW, that would not leave his men. Hats off to that. But at this point in time in what I call my Country I am not worried about Gay Marriages, if someone wants to get an abortion so be it. That is there choice. I worry about my children and there future. JOBS, HOUSING, WAR, HEALTHCARE, EDUCATIONS, MONEY, SECURITY ISSUE.. Not what religion they are ( could care less) Republicans.. Sorry to say are out for themselves and do not take a stand on what this Country Needs. The Important issues are lost to Republicans...

After hearing Obama's last speech on racism, I am even more sure that I would like to have him be the next president. I am a 47-year-old white female Democrat. I dislike Hilary Clinton because of her stand on manditory health insurance... as I am one of those who would be forced to pay and I do not have money for good coverage at present. I am a health care provider and work part-time so do not have insurance coverage. I vowed that I would not vote Conservative or Republican after listening to too much of Rush Limbaugh and hearing his horrible attacks on people and finding out that his so- called news sources were not impartial but were instead hired contrators paid for by the Republican Party and after seeing that the most vocal Republicans are quick to target Democrats in office while ignoring the wrongs of their own party members. I have watched the actions of President Bush, have seen his excessive spending on defense, have seen him starve state governments, have seen him leave the majority of the children behind through his flaw policies and have seen him disrespect the Constitution of the United States and the tort law that gives it power, etc. and I believe firmly that McCain will give us more of the same. I pray that McCain will stay out of office and that a Democrat with some moral integrety and some respect for the Constitution of the United States will get into the position. I think that Obama may have the moral integrety to serve us well.
