I can't get motivated to do the housework with music blaring.What motivates you?

It's not that i won't do any cleaning and sorting without music BUT i guess i enjoy it with the music going.I dance and sing quite badly as i go but i love it!
My favourite music is anything by Evanescence,Avril Lavigne, Pink,Simple Plan,Good Charlotte,Timbaland and Rogue Traders.
What motivates you to get you going and help you breeze through the housework or whatever else it is that you have to get done?

I love to have the TV on when I am doing the house chores, especially when I did the sweeping and arranging the furniture inside the house. If I am doing the laundry, I would love to have some music on.

We are the same actually. I am also motivated with music to do most of the stuffs i dont usually enjoy doing. This includes household chores, and cleaning the bathroom. So if i am to do houseworks, i would just prepare my favortie music and let it play while me busy doing my task.

same thing, I'm usually listening to older hip hop when it was still good. Public Enemy, Slick Rick, Redman, BIG, Big Pun, EPMD, Mobb Deep, Saigon, Myself, oh did I mention I make music too? Album on sale right now!

oh my gravy!!! i couldnt dance good if i had 4 feet, but what i do is close the blinds so no-one can see me and i turn up any music that has a good beat like Avril , pink , Miranda Lambert (country) the Kerosene cd my husband calls her " angry girl " but it is really good and she gets me off the couch and while i'm cleaning i dance my a** off and lose weight at the same time what could be wroung with that.

I do sometimes play music while cleaning the house. However, music can be destracting, as when I hear a song I like I may want to practice it, which could hold up my cleaning projects.

I love listening to music and dancing while I do chores around the house. It helps the work go faster. :]

LOL,i just saw the title of my post,i meant to say 'without',not with but i'm pretty sure everyone has the idea!I totally agree,it makes the time fly by.As for dancing around the house,it makes it so much more fun and it's great entertainment for my kids!

I do the same thing. I love to sing and dance along with the music and it makes the work not seem so boring. I also enjoy the extra bit of exercise it adds, it makes me feel good.
My favorite music for cleaning is anything I can sing along with that is upbeat and fun. I love the Beatles, Weezer, Green Day, and lots of stuff from the 80's.

Yes i think that music helps too, especially when you are doing the whole house over! if i had to clean without any music i would hate it... But i love dancing around the house by myself and cleaning it top to bottom.
